Chart notes

MAJOR THOMAS , away well, took a slim lead entering the first turn, handled outer pressure while under rating, responded to asking and shook clear soon into the lane, opened up in mid stretch, kept on under a drive past the sixteenth pole then held sway. SACHMO rated off the pace while saving some ground, was held up behind foes leaving the far turn, angled out, circled five wide into the stretch and closed willingly. MONSTER MASON stalked inside, shifted out in upper stretch, wandered outward with pursuit past mid stretch then kept on with effort to the inside of SACHMO. WHISKEYMAC broke sharply, hounded the winner from the outside, was under pressure three wide into the stretch, drifted out near mid stretch and faded. CRAZY KATER settled off the pace and off the inside, was put to a ride leaving the far turn, pursued three deep leaving the five sixteenths, shifted in some near mid stretch and came up empty. CALL ON CLARA broke a step slow, lagged off the pace while saving ground, was under a ride around the final turn, remained inside for the stretch drive then offered a belated response. BARLEEWON , three wide into the first turn, stalked outside a rival, chased between runners nearing the quarter pole, failed to kick on in upper stretch and weakened.
