Chart notes
FIFTY CINCO settled in the back of the field early. rallied six-wide into the stretch, angled in nearing the eighth pole when ELDER MACK and WHISKEYJACK came out and finished strongly to be up in the final strides. WHISKEYJACK was unhurried early, moved up along the inside on the turn, angled out three-wide entering the stretch, gained a slight lead from ELDER MACK nearing the eighth pole then was carried out late by that one and held on gamely to the wire. ELDER MACK vied with MOR TEQUIULA for the lead racing removed from the rail, responded when asked then drifted out during the drive and held on fairly well for third. HOT CHICKS ONLY was off a step slow then was allowed to settle while racing two-wide and went evenly late. BLUEGRASS GO GO tracked the pace racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. MOR TEQUILA vied for the early lead while racing outside of ELDER MACK and weakened.
