Chart notes
LIONS NOT SHEEP dueled three wide with rivals up the backstretch, continued to match strides outside of JUST A IRISH LAD around the turn, shook free past the furlong marker, widened under pressure and finished clear. IRISH COAST tracked the early pace inside, waited for a clear path around the turn, was held in briefly by outside running COMMANDER REX in upper stretch then got clear three to four wide and gained place. COMMANDER REX sat just off the early pace, hustled along three to four wide in the stretch and got a nose up for show. JUST A IRISH LAD vied between rivals up the backstretch and continued to battle outside of LIONS NOT SHEEP around the turn, could not move on with the eventual winner past mid-stretch, yielded late and got nipped for show. JAMES'S MOONSHINE dueled inside rivals up the backstretch, could not move on with the top pair past the three eighths pole and steadily faded.
