WHISTLER'S STYLE dropped back under urging early then angled in at the rear, went around the turn in the two path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, followed the winner into the final furlong and improved to just get the place. MISS LAO became a bit fractious in the gate, was urged along on the outside, came under stronger encouragement while moving from the four path to the five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the six path, gained to make a bid outside the furlong marker, lost touch with the winner nearing the sixteenth-pole and proved no match then kept on willingly but just missed the place. EDISTRUDIS was a bit fractious in the gate, broke alertly and showed speed then dropped just off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three path for most of the turn then moved to the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path, gained to make a bid outside the furlong marker, dropped back into the final sixteenth and weakened. SHEZANARCTICQUEEN was hustled from the gate, moved up to get the lead inside the three-quarter pole then showed the way, vied inside on the turn, was asked late on that bend then came under the crop, shortened stride in upper stretch, lost the advantage at the furlong marker and tired. BOOK OF WISDOM was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the three path, was driven into the stretch in the four path and failed to threaten. EQUUS moved up to press the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into the stretch in the three path, chased under a drive into the final furlong and also tired. APRIL ANTICS settled towards the rear, moved in outside the five-eighths pole, saved ground while roused on the turn, moved closer while shifting to the two path into upper stretch but failed to respond. THESE APPLES was away awkwardly but with the body of the field, settled off the pace, saved ground for most of the turn, shifted to the three path while roused late on that bend, came into the stretch in the four path, dropped back while remaining on her inside lead in the drive and capitulated. IT TAKES HEART was fractious in the gate then acted-up just before the start and was off a step slow, moved out near the half-mile pole, was urged along in the five path on the turn, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and had nothing left.
