GRETNA GREEN emerged from the group leaving the chute getting to the tail on the front end, opened up slightly by midturn, had challengers closing in on the outside turning for home under a hold still, finally was shook up at the furling pole and under a well rationed ride had enough to fend off the oncoming rivals at the wire for the win. MONTY'S INN settled on the outside in the second tier watching the lead thresome down the backside, closed the gap on the leader three wide at the quarried pole, posed the main opposition in the four oath straightening out for home and was surging late but didn t have enough to get to the winner in time at the finish. TANZANITE LILY had a stalking trip ahead of only the troubled starters down the backside, mounted a rally passing horses outside at the quarter pole, swung out widest coming with a run down the lane and was gaining gradually on the top pair in deep stretch but settled for a clear third while not being beaten all that far for the top spot at the finish line. ALTA CALIBRE missed the break on the start, quickly improved inside runners down the backside to sit on the fence behind the lead trio at the half, kept pace inside rivals through the turn, shifted out four wide having a clear lane down the stretch and finished up one paced to settle on the fringes at the wire. SALMIAKKI was situated between horses in the second flight down the backstretch, dropped back losing some lengths midway on the turn but not position, angled out five wide for the drive and finished up mildly while dueling outside another for a minor role in the end. TENTOMIDNIGHT prompted the pace three deep outside two others along the back straight, tracked the frontrunner whilst travelling three wide outside a rival on the bend, remained in touch of the leader between runners at the top of the stretch but had little to show late and weakened in the final furlong. STRIKE A NOTE was checked at the start trailing in the beginning, co- trailed with ani side foe making no movement around the turn and could not be a presence five wide in the drive down the lane to the wire. HUMBLE HEART was checked on the rail entering the backstretch to settle inside foes near the rear early on, co-trailed on the rail making no progression around the bends shifted out at the quarter pole and could not be a factor inside horses in the stretch running. OUR LILLY broke inwards on the start, moved in to vie between runners up front by the half, chased the frontrunner while inside another through the turn, gave way in the two path in the mix up top turning for home and wilted further inside runners by the furlong pole.
