Chart notes
HEAVEN'S BOLT settled well off the rail, closed in four wide around the turn, took aim three wide turning for home, swept by the leader in upper stretch to take control, moved clear inside the eighth pole, came under threat from BANZAI BETTY approaching the wire but was able to hold on. BANZAI BETTY was off slow to begin and broke inward, lagged behind early, gained ground from the fence through the turn, came off the rail in the lane, closed in from outside in deep stretch, was gaining quickly approaching the wire but ran out of time. MISSTRIAL vied for the lead three deep, took over at the five-sixteenths pole, cleared inner rivals with a quarter mile remaining, crossed to the inside, offered no resistance when challenged by HEAVEN'S BOLT in upper stretch and flattened to third. DEFINITELY PRBABLE chased the top trio from out of range on the inside, eased out to the four path around the bend and flattened out. SANTA MONICA BEACH vied for command inside a pair of rivals to the five-sixteenths pole, yielded to MISSTRIAL with a quarter mile remaining and gave way in the lane. MOLLY E took a short lead between rivals in the early going, lost command at the five-sixteenths pole, yielded to the new leader outside the quarter pole and tired.
