Chart notes
FANCY CABER NEIGH was urged clear from the start, set the pace inside, was asked coming past the quarter pole, had enough in reserve and held sway. READY TO JAM stalked the eventual winner from outside, was asked in upper stretch, could make no headway, was no match but preserved the place. PRINCESS BETTINA tracked in behind the leaders about mid-pack near the inside, angled seven wide at the top of the stretch, was gaining late to just get up for show honors. MILLIAT (IRE) tracked up close inside, came out past the five-sixteenths, was four wide with aim at the quarter pole, kept on but lost third at the wire. BIRDIE ROSE was bumped between foes and squeezed back at the start, raced four wide into the turn, gradually shifted in through that bend, rallied mildly up the inside in the stretch. REAGAN'S FLAME bumped a rival at the start, pursued the leaders three to four deep, ran on but failed to rally. HIDEKI settled between foes at the rear, improved near the inside. MAKE THE BOYS WINK lacked early speed, raced outside foes at the rear, came out six wide turning for home steadying on heels, shifted in a bit and ran on. SUDDEN SWITCH chased from outside five to six wide on the turn, weakened. MEAN EILEEN was inside at the rear, made no impact. POLKA POLENTA bumped with a rival at the start, chased four to five wide between early on the turn, steadily dropped back, moved out turning for home, came up empty. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
