LAST CALL ZONDLO was prominent early staying off the rail, bid from outside midway around the bend, took over late on the turn, drew clear in upper stretch, threatened by MANDELA EFFECT late and held well. MANDELA EFFECT traveled four then three deep out of range early, closed in three then four wide on the turn, gained steadily on the winner into deep stretch, drew alongside LAST CALL ZONDLO late but lacked the needed final kick. GOLDENSUNRISE sprinted to the front from the far outside, steered to the inside once clear of LAST CALL ZONDLO, took pressure from that rival at the five-sixteenths pole, headed with a quarter mile remaining, lost the lead late on the bend, yielded to that rival in upper stretch, weakened in the late stages but was able to secure third. NAISMITH chased from inside into the turn, asked while tipping to the three path around the bend and could not produce a bid. SHADY APPEAL settled off the pace, had to pause behind a rival briefly past the half-mile pole, went two wide into the turn, angled out to the five path then came four wide into the stretch and offered a mild rally. ADIOS NICANOR lacked early speed, went outside a rival into the turn, moved out in upper stretch and improved position. RESEMBLANCE traveled near the back in the opening stages, saved ground around the bend, steered off the fence in the drive and also improved position. THE BIG CHEESEOLA coaxed along out of range while moving inside, eased over to the two path on the turn and lacked further response. GUNNIN FOR GOLD was off slow to begin, advanced up the backstretch but had to check behind rivals at the seven-sixteenths pole, tried to pass a rival while in a bit tight at the quarter pole, cut the corner into the stretch and flattened out. RHINO chased between rivals from off the pace, angled four wide on the turn and weakened. ZOMBO BOMBO chased three deep between rivals, lost positions leaving the backstretch, dropped back around the bend and tired.
