Chart notes
KRISTOFFERSON broke in and bumped, showed the way under pressure from outer rivals early, fought on even terms around the bend, dueled with MR. A. P. into the lane, resisted through the stretch and gamely prevailed. MR. A. P. pressed the pace three deep up the backstretch, moved up on even terms on the turn, dueled outside KRISTOFFERSON into and down the lane and finished gamely in defeat. FALCON JET pressed the leader from between runners, fought through the turn, yielded to the top pair into the lane and churned on to retain third. OUT OF THE WOODS bumped leaving the gate, followed in range two wide into the turn, asked while angling to the fur path around the bend and faded in the drive. RIO GRANDE broke a bit slow, angled out widest and chased from out of range, went five then four wide on the turn and flattened. PLAGARIST broke a step slow, hustled forward but lost a clear path when the leader angled in front, followed closely behind that rival on the inside into the turn, lost ground around the bend and tired. BEERS ON ME climbed early and dropped back to last, saved ground to the stretch and was never a factor. RICH NIGHT got bumped between rivals in the beginning, raced off the rail or between runners to the turn, chased two wide around the bend and weakened.
