DIABLO SHIRAZ was forwardly-positioned stalking, went three to four wide on the turn, struck the lead just past the quarter pole, kicked clear, held while being kept to task. MENKAURE settled mid-pack inside, moved out on the turn, came into upper stretch about three to four deep, split foes rallying between past the three-sixteenths, won the battle for place. IMMINENT RISK was reserved inside early under a hold, moved out about the seven-sixteenths, came past the five-sixteenths six wide and encouraged along, took aim on the leaders at the top of the stretch, kicked on evenly and was outfinished for second. GREATEST got away well but came out a bit, was prominent early then ceded the lead content to track in behind, saved ground on the turn, lacked room in behind foes in the stretch, moved out past the furlong marker, kept on late. SHIDONI was kept far outside of the field in the early going, moved rapidly while shifting in from the five- and one-half to press the leader two to three deep, took a narrow lead briefly about the five-sixteenths, was overtaken at the quarter pole and had no extra. FROSTY FOR EVER hesitated at the start spotting the field about three to four lengths from the outset, steadily advanced early under mild coaxing racing up outside foes into the turn four wide, chased four to five deep, was within range under urging coming past the five-sixteenths, lacked the needed late kick. AUTHENTIC ANGEL steadied slightly past the five- and one-half, tracked mid-division near the rail, ran evenly. AUTHENTIC CHARM switched out off the inside, moved out a bit further past the five-eighths, raced three to four wide near the back on the turn, swung six to seven deep turning for home, was never near enough to threaten. FLORENTINE LADY was in tight a few strides out of the gate, raced outside into the turn, was forced out slightly past the five-eighths but continued to veer, bobbled soon after, continued outside at the back and failed to rally. BROADWAY MUSICAL soon led, set the pace inside, gave way. LADY NVIDA was off the rail at the rear and failed to menace. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
