Chart notes
ERLAN unhurried early to trail the field for three-quarters under patient handling, rallied nearing the quarter pole circling six wide and wore down the leaders late to prevail in the drive. GOOSE HUNTER reserved off the pace in mid-pack to the far turn, lost position idling through the bend angled seven wide in upper stretch and rallied belatedly to be gaining late. YARDMAN stalked the pace to the far turn, rallied on the bend to take the lead in upper stretch and was outfinished in the final eighth. MARSAC set the pace on a clear lead to the three-eighths pole, responded willingly when engaged on the turn, battled to mid-stretch gamely and weakened in the final sixteenth. ROUND OF APPLAUSE raced near the rear of the field down the backside, rallied on the far turn to prominence and flattened out turning for home. TAP THE SKY prompted the pace to the far turn, steadily gave ground on the bend failing to respond and was eased up in the lane galloping home to the wire.
