Chart notes
MR SLEDGE HAMMER pressed the early pace in the three path, bid on the first turn to take the lead, led in the two path, turned back a challenger on the far turn and drew off in the stretch while kept to task. MY LUNAR CHARM bobbled the start, rallied past the half-mile pole, dueled outside the winner briefly and couldn't last. MAXIMUM JUSTICE was unrushed in the three path, bid near the three-eighths pole and faltered approaching the quarter pole. SOMBEYAY KING saved ground to no avail. LEGAL MAYHEM was squeezed back and checked near the fifteen-sixteenths pole, raced inside well back and passed tired rivals. THE KING STINGER stalked the pace in the three path, bid near the three-quarters pole to press the pace in the three path and gave way on the far turn. WHAT NOW PRUTY BOY was through early.
