Chart notes
COLT FORTY SEVEN broke well from the inside, raced forwardly while saving ground into the first turn, bit closer into the far bend while covered up, cut the corner into the straight under confident handling, challenged nearing the furlong grounds while remaining along the inside, kicked clear under steady handling. TISUM lacked early foot, raced outside, four to five wide into the stretch, bothered by a drifting rival when straightened for home, steered to the inside and made a late run to be up for the place in the waning strides, not a threat to the winner. DYNAFLAME a bit keen while showing the way three wide into the first turn, hard rated in the run up the backstretch while continuing to set the pace, leveled out when picking up the tempo far turn, responded after allowing the winner the inside approaching midstretch, dueled then could not match strides, nipped late for the second spot. EL OREJON prompted the issue up front while off the inside, lacked the needed closing response through the stretch. GOSH SAKES broke into the gate to be last away, settled off the pace and the inside, four wide into the lane while inside the runner up, drifted out upper stretch to bother that same rival, came up empty for the run to the wire. DONUT DUST was finished after a half, well back at the end.
