Chart notes
MARKSALOT was sent to the front from the break, opened up a clear lead on the turn, was still going well in hand when JOLIE CANDY bid near the quarter pole, then responded when asked in upper stretch and pulled well clear in the late stages. GIRLS DON'T CRY was outrun from the break, chased mid-pack four-wide, launched a bid from the 3/8 pole, continued that path through the turn into the stretch, finished up well under strong handling and was just up for the place. JOLIE CANDY bobbled slightly after the start, then settled off the early pace initially, then moved up through the turn to bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, was turned back in upper stretch, then weakened late and lost the place in a blanket finish for second. DISCREET PLEASURE was outrun while racing five-wide down the backstretch, dropped to the two-path for the run through the turn, then moved in the stretch. GIRVINITALLSHESGOT broke well, was briefly close up, retreated on the turn, and had little to offer in the stretch. W F AMERICAN HONEY chased the dueling leaders through the turn, then lacked a finish. PARADISEINTHEMAKIN dropped far back early and trailed far back throughout.
