Chart notes
CAIRO STREET forwardly placed along the inside and in hand early, crept a bit closer late in the second turn, challenged outside the leader past the furlong, edged clear under steady handling. VICTORY BADGE void of speed, continued back and in the two path far turn, in some traffic when straightened for home, brief wait, split horses a furlong out and finished up with god resolve to be in time for the place. QUADRA prompted the leader in the two path, idled as the winner was advancing late second turn, regathered and challenged nearing the furlong marker, briefly gained the advantage then began to weaken in relinquishing the advantage, nailed late for the second spot. KAKE'S TAP DANCER of a step slow, raced back for six furlongs, came four wide for the drive, rallied steadily down the straight, narrowly missed the show. STELLA MARS settled in mid pack while inside, continued to save ground second turn, improved by cutting the corner into the stretch then flattened out the final furlong. SPOTTY SHOWERS back off the pace while outside, began to move a bit closer second turn, fanned five wide into the lane, improved a bit in upper stretch then also went flat late. DULCE DESPERTAR (ARG) took command soon after the start, set the pace, briefly opened up day in the second bend then caved when headed just outside the furlong grounds. LAKESIDE GETAWAY in mid pack for six furlongs, had nothing for the drive. LE TOUCHE closer before a half outside, within striking distance the middle half mile, four wide turning for home, gave way.
