Chart notes
MAGICAL MARK hustled away quickly from the break and went clear early, dueled an inside foe through the turn, then took command leaving the quarter pole and held sway down the lane under steady handling and intermittent urging. GODDARD settled four-wide early then was coaxed along to get closer going down the backstretch, bid four-wide late on the turn to bid for the lead, chased MAGICAL MARK down the stretch but could not close the gap in the late stages. PUDDING pulled up to join the early pace battle despite the efforts of the rider to temper the pace, bid two-wide into the stretch but was outfinished, kept on gamely to win a tight battle for third. HOLD ME ONLY moved up to challenge for the lead after the break, dueled through the turn, got the inside path into the stretch, and kept on well before giving way in deep stretch. AMERICAN SOLO broke well then dropped back through the field, chased under a ride through the turn, bid three-wide into the stretch, finished with interest but lacked a winning kick. LOTTA GUSTO raced close up inside early, then lost ground through the turn then went one-paced in the stretch. WHERES BRAYDEN pulled forward after a bit of a slow beginning, got a clean inside trip through the turn, loomed a threat in upper stretch, but could not sustain the bid and faded in the final furlong. HARDBALL lacked any speed from the break and was last down the backstretch, went five-wide through the turn, then seven-wide into the stretch with no horses to the inside. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
