Chart notes
CAIRO COWBOY vied three wide into the opening turn then drew away, and effortlessly pulled away to dominate the field. ARE GEE broke inward then was outsprinted to the opening turn, shifted out three wide entering the stretch and inched up to earn place honours. SCHMUGLEY chased outside, and improved late. ALL GRIT NO QUIT vied between foes, dropped back in the turn, chased the leader through the stretch and gave way late. SWAZIE broke in coming away from the gate slowly, and closed the gap late. SWIFT KAHUNA vied inside, and faded gradually. TRAINER OBJECTION- An objection was lodged by the trainer of ALL GRIT NO QUIT against the rider of CAIRO COWBOY, alleging interference near the three-eighths pole. After reviewing the film, the Board of Stewards disallowed the objection.
