Chart notes
ATMOSPHERIC RIVER was forwardly placed while racing three-wide, responded when asked and was up in the final strides. TIZ DYNAMIC saved ground setting the pace and held on gamely during the drive but was unable to hold off the winner. VERDI raced in the back of the field early, came two-wide into the stretch, angled further out during the drive and closed strongly. WHISKEYTHENWINE was unhurried early, rallied four-wide the final quarter and was gaining slightly late. GREY AREA tracked TIZ DYNAMIC to the stretch while racing two-wide and weakened slightly late. FANCY DANCER raced in the middle of the pack early while two-wide, steadied from between horses nearing the three-eighths pole and failed to menace thereafter. HAKA was prominently placed early racing along the inside and tired.
