Chart notes
PEGGY RULES tracked the leader up the backstretch, picked up the tempo mid-way around the turn, came under right handed pressure two wide at the head of the lane, took over the lead in the final furlong, remained confidently handled under mild urging in final stages and held sway. MY MAYBELENNE tracked the pace up the backstretch, saved ground then shifted out late on the turn, put to a drive three wide entering the head of the lane, responded gamely and closed on the winner. CANKTON'S COWGIRL sped to the lead at the start, set the pace and widened advantage upon entering the turn, saved ground turning for home, got collared by PEGGY RULES near mid-stretch and weakened to show. MY FINE AQUILINE was off a step slow at the start and raced in the back, continued unhurried, saved ground around the turn, urged along the inside in the lane and had a mild improve. BLISTER BUG raced in contention in the opening quarter then flattened around the turn, hustled along three to four wide into the upper stretch and lacked the needed kick for late impact. NORTHERN GEM raced off the pace, swung wide into the lane and had no response.
