Chart notes
BELLS AND WHISTLES was inside and took the lead when PINEAPPLE CRUISE lugged out carrying rivals out with her, edged clear to the second turn then was all out to the line. SOFIA STRONG was outsprinted early, bid two wide into the second turn then was gaining but could not catch the winner. PINEAPPLE CRUISE lugged out to the five path to the backstretch, tracked the winner to the second turn then drifted out in the stretch. CONFIDENCE BUILDER had no speed, followed the runnerup on the second turn but lacked the needed late response. BACALAR was carried out six deep to the backstretch, chased to the second turn then was four wide to the stretch and weakened. CHIEFS LIL PEARL was forced out to the seven path on the first turn, also chased outside BACALAR, raced five wide to the stretch and finished in a deadheat for fifth.
