ALWAYS GAMBLING raced in closest pursuit of the pacesetter, vied on the final turn then shook clear under steady handling. HEY PORTER steadied into the first turn and dropped back then closed well through the stretch. THE KING CHEEK urged to clear lead inside, was collared before half mile and finished willingly. WHAT A BLAST broke sluggishly, engaged the leaders before half mile then faded in the stretch. CLASSIC UNION dropped back inside and weakened steadily. ASSEMBLY POINT (BRZ) was never in contention while trailing throughout. The stewards conducted an inquiry into the trouble into the first turn.
