Chart notes
COLONEL POPPY reserved off the pace in a compact field to be well placed, waited for racing room turning for home, surged through splitting rivals midway down the lane and drew off convincingly. CAMILO unhurried to be the trailer to the far turn, made a steady advance circling five wide and finished well to be up for the place. RIVER OF TIME prompted the pace for the first half mile while hard held racing five wide, rallied on the turn to engage the leader at the quarter pole, battled in upper stretch taking a short lead midway down the lane and was outfinished late in the drive. FASTER stalked the pace to the far turn, rallied between rivals to take the lead at the quarter pole and was outkicked in the stretch. PREACH IT WARRIOR set the pace under steady pressure, had no answer when challenged leaving the three-eighths pole and faded to the rear.
