TEXAS RAIN, inside early, moved out four-wide backstretch, remained four-wide, rallied for place. ROPERS N WRANGLERS, well placed off rail, challenged final turn, dueled outside, shook duel rival late turn, bid inside the winner into stretch, gave way passing eighth pole. BIG STRETCH trailed to stretch, rallied belatedly widest. COMPRESSED ENERGY stalked three-wide, advanced inside, rallied, tired. GET MY DRIFT had inside speed under increasing pressure, dueled final turn, gave way late turn. FRANKIE'S GIRL showed little inside.
