Chart notes
CAPTAIN FANCY forced the pace outside, led at the quarter pole and held on gamely under steady handling. CENTAUR CENTRAL awaited room inside on the turn, angled out in the stretch and closed well. RICKIE'S KIN prompted the leaders three wide then yielded in the final furlong. VIX bid four wide on the turn then went evenly late. PENN FRANKLIN flashed speed to the turn and faltered. GUNMAN JAYVO dropped well behind and was never in contention. TARTARIAN trailed, was in tight and steadied into the far turn and had no further response.
