Chart notes
LATIN CASINO leaned in at the break and brushed with COMISKEY PARK, corrected and sped clear, set the pace towards the inside, was joined by an outer GABAGOOL leaving the half, sparred with that on under coaxing past the five sixteenths, shook clear under right handed encouragement near the furlong grounds then steadily widened while kept to task. SAND MOUNTAIN , away alertly, raced forwardly four wide and outside rivals nearing the half, remained about four wide pursuing the embattled leaders around the turn then finished up willingly through the final furlong to be clear for the place. CHARLIE LIGHTNING chased to the inside of a pair of rivals nearing the half, dropped back a bit leaving the far turn, shifted out for the final furlong and kept on with effort. GABAGOOL , three wide between runners with early pursuit, moved up and engaged the winner from the outside leaving the far turn, dueled on near even terms from the three eighths to the head of the lane, failed to match strides leaving the three sixteenths, remained on the left lead and weakened. COMISKEY PARK broke outward brushing the winner, chased inside, eased out near mid stretch but came up empty. SAFE , off slowly after grazing the outer portion of his stall, lagged off the pace, saved ground around the turn and through the lane but failed to generate a rally. ALVIN bore out the break, corrected and raced well off the pace, angled five wide for the drive and failed to menace.
