Chart notes
ANNIHILATE 'EM broke out sharply bumping MANHATTAN CHARLIE then was reserved off the pace racing along the inside, angled out to come four-wide into the stretch, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and quickly drew clear. MAGIC PATH was allowed to settle while racing three-wide, moved up to take the lead nearing the quarter pole, set the pace to near the eighth pole but was no match for the winner while proving to be clearly second best. MANHATTAN CHARLIE was bumped by ANNIHILATE 'EM then steadied when that one continued to come out, recovered to be forwardly placed while racing three-wide to the stretch and weakened. LUCKY DOUBLE ZERO dwelt at the start to get away well behind the field then raced in the back, came four-wide into the stretch but failed to seriously threaten. MERSIN HEAT set the pressured pace to near the quarter pole and tired. ECLIPTICALS FEVER prompted the pace form along the inside for three furlongs and gave way. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
