Chart notes
CAVANAL was allowed to settle three wide heading into the first turn, remained well reserved in the back of the field, picked up the pace late on the far turn, swung into action four wide entering the head of the lane, steadily edged closer under a confident pilot and swept by in hand late. DUSAN was forwardly placed around the first turn, moved up and engaged KENNEDY'S CAUSE for the lead in the early backstretch, dueled then shook free and held firm around the far turn, widened under pressure, held clear into the final furlong then got overtaken late. GUNS tracked the pace, launched a three wide bid around the far turn, ran on into the lane and cleared show. COMPREHEND raced near mid-pack and saved ground mid-way up the backstretch, urged around the far turn, raced two wide into the upper stretch, ran on for a minor share while no threat to the top trio. KENNEDY'S CAUSE led the way around the first turn, dueled up the backstretch, ran on near the inside around the far turn then tired in the drive. ROYAL AND READY rated two to three wide in early stages, faded around the far turn and continued to tire in the drive. CUTTING JOKE was not too far back in early stages then retreated after a half.
