Chart notes
CODE OF THE SOUTH was well placed off the pace down the backstretch then moved between horses near the three furlong marker, kept that bid to engage the leader late and battled to the wire to win the nod. HOT COOKIE was unhurried around the first turn then moved up from four wide down the backstretch, tipped in to three wide and took the lead near the three furlong marker, dueled late and was denied in the final jump. TIZABELLARINA stalked the pace from three wide down the backstretch then took a brief lead on the turn but was no match for the top two. SANOVIV vied for the lead from two wide then took the lead near the five furlong marker but was overtaken near the three furlong marker and tired late. CAMAN UP hustled to the lead around the first turn then vied for the lead down the backstretch and gave way. SURE THING SAMURAI was allowed to settle on the inside around the first turn then made a mild rail bid to near the half mile marker, dropped back and was outrun. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
