Chart notes
VIEUX CARRE unhurried early to be the trailer, circled the field turning for home and surged late in the lane to be up in the shadow of the wire. BIG DREAMER set a pressured pace in rapid fractions to the quarter pole, kicked away turning for home to be clear in mid-stretch and was caught in the final strides in a game effort. ROYAL PRINCESS stalked the dueling pacesetters from a clear pocket through the turn, rallied at the top of the lane tthe beneficiary of a perfect set-up and could not get passed down the lane. VALHALLA VIXEN was taken in hand leaving the gate to be off the pace, raced up on the outside of the pack down the backside making a steady rally and finished willingly in thel lane to be along for the minor award. DANCING DIANA chased the leaders from the inside and ran-on in the lane with some interest. ITSAMONSTAMASH was well place tracking the pace through the turn and faded when unable to mount a closing bid. NEOLITHICA pressed the pace from the inside in a speed duel to the quarter pole and gave way in upper stretch. OOPS AND DOWNS was not a threat.
