Chart notes

LEADING ROLE went to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail while asked on the turn, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, shook off a rival into the final furlong and prevailed under strong urging. SEEKER'S HOPE pressed the pace on the outside then in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and was outfinished while just able to get the place. NICE TRY RILEY bumped with a rival near the eleven-sixteenths pole, raced just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, shifted to the two path while asked into upper stretch and finished willingly to just miss the place while clear for the show. REMEMBER THE CHIEF was restless in the gate, moved out while urged along well off the pace, shifted from the two path to the four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. FREEDOM MAKER broke out at the start, was ridden along well off the pace, gained in the three then four path on the turn, chased into upper stretch and came up empty. GREY ACE bumped with a foe near the eleven-sixteenths pole, was urged along just off the pace, chased in the two path through the turn and tired.
