BAYTOWN BRUISER tracked two wide, brushed an inner rival while advancing between horses entering the lane, ran on while hanging on his left lead in the final furlong and gained place between horses late. GOOD LORD pursued from midpack in the three path, progressed between rivals entering the lane, ran on along with an inner rival to bid for place in the final sixteenth but got outfinished. COLONEL CALIENTE prompted outside of the leader and from the three path, vied into the turn, led turning for home, brushed an inner bidder in upper stretch, got headed by that one in midstretch and yielded. ANTHONIAN bumped with an outer rival at the start, raced off of the pace in the four path, chased in the five path into the lane and lacked a bid while hanging on his left lead. CHANCE bumped with an inner rival and checked from between horses at the start, trailed in the four path and failed to menace. LINEBACKER lacked speed in the three path and failed to factor. MCILROY stalked outside of the top pair and from the four path, but weakened between horses at the furlong grounds while hanging on his left lead. HESPER laid off of the pace near the inside, weakened into the lane, eased thereafter was pulled up in the late stages and walked off. FIFTH AVENUE set the pace along the inside, got headed by an outer prompter turning for home, weakened before being brushed and steadying in tight quarters entering the lane, was eased thereafter, pulled up in the final furlong and walked off.
