Chart notes
PARKES , steadied in close quarters leaving the starting gate after breaking slowly, raced along the inner rail entering the stretch, eased out, worked between horses, led late and drove clear. FLATTER MY DAD remained along the inner rail throughout, challenged for the lead inside EL PAPACITO near the eighth pole and faded late. GARAGE BEERS , bumped by RUDIOBUS leaving the starting gate, loomed three deep entering the stretch and weakened in the drive. EL PAPACITO broke alertly, set the pace in the two path around the turn and in upper stretch and gave way in the drive. HOP ON TOP stalked the pace and weakened. MISTER ROSCOE , a forward factor in the four path around the turn, gave way. FORGET THE RULES , outrun along the inner rail, angled out in upper stretch and lacked a response. RUDIOBUS bumped GARAGE BEERS when coming in the start, circled the turn four wide and was no factor.
