Chart notes
ORLEANS TOURIST broke sharply, went straight to the front to a length or two, never looked back and maintained the margin to the wire. AUTIE took a bump from STARPORT at the start but otherwise got away well, chased the pacesetter and eventual winner from the beginning to no avail, and was just able to hold the place over a rival making an inside bid in the final yards. PETITFOR tracked mid-pack on the rail with a pair of rivals to the outside, made a solid late try up the rail for second but came up short. MATZOH BALL raced mid-pack between horses, was never a factor but was mildly gaining in the late stages. GATSBY'S FORTUNE tracked three-wide in mid-pack and lacked a rally. STARPORT broke in and bumped AUNTIE at the start raced at the rear of the field and trailed throughout.
