SWORE established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside, tucked inside through the turn before making his way back to the two path through the straightaways when approaching the fences, jumped well to maintain his advantage while at times under close attendance from ZARAK THE BRAVE to the outside, remained patiently handled after clearing the final flight as WELSHMAN advanced outside also in hand in the flat, got displaced from command nearing the eighth pole and was roused at that station, dug in under a drive coming again to take back the front inside the final forty yards to the finish and prevailed gamely on the wire. WELSHMAN raced eager along the inside in pursuit from mid pack tossing his head at times under the restraint of the rider through the first four flights, tipped to the outside and was in the two path thereafter in the clear and settled, jumped early at fence five but jumped well the rest of the way, cleared the final flight and advanced on the front in hand through the far and final turn, took over command nearing the eighth pole and remained patiently handled until called upon at that station, dug in under a drive as the former leader came back on inside, fought gamely to the end but was ultimately collared inside the final forty yards and bested on the line. SWEET WILL (IRE) tracked the pace along the inside forwardly placed early on, dropped back to mid pack and then jumped late at fences six and seven losing some more ground, came under coaxing after clearing the final fence, advanced in the flat through the final turn and offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. HIDDEN PATH settled just off the inside near the rear of the field, jumped well to keep pace with the front, came under encouragement after clearing the final flight and offered up a mild bid. BEE WELL settled tracking the leader along the inside from just off the pace, jumped well to maintain his position, came under urging after the final fence and weakened in the late stages. ZARAK THE BRAVE (FR) attended the leader to the outside two to three wide jumping well to accompany that rival through to the final flight, came under encouragement inside that station and faded through the final turn, then weakened in the stretch. TRAVESURAS settled tracking the front just off the inside from just off the pace, jumped well to maintain position, came under a ride once in the flat and retreated through the final turn, tired, and was eased home to the finish. CARAMELISED (GB) saved ground at the tail of the field, jumped late at flight seven, came under urging approaching the ninth fence, trailed and was eased home to the wire.
