SHOGUN BE FAST quickly showed in front, set the pace racing with a clear lead, responded when roused in the stretch drive, dug in gamely in the two path in the final sixteenth and held well for the win. BAY STREET MONEY raced off the pace with a ground saving trip, rallied on the rail in the stretch run and finished well for second. CONSULTANT tracked close up on the inside, chased on the far turn, made a mild bid in upper stretch and was outkicked. BRAMBLE BLAZE raced off the pace between horses, chased two wide on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and lacked a rally. DENYING stalked close up two wide, chased on the far turn, lacked a bid and weakened. BEAN MACHINE had a three wide trip off the pace, chased on the far turn and faded.
