Chart notes
AHUMADO lagged early while racing towards the outside, went five wide entering the stretch, closed willingly and wore down his rivals to get up in the final strides. HEAVY HITTER raced close to the pace, closed steadily and got up late for place. MEMPHIS SLIM pressed the pace, assumed command on the turn, drew away for a clear lead, led to the final strides and was outfinished in a good effort. TALKSCHEAP was void of early speed, advanced to the turn, bid six wide and finished well. NERVANA was through early, dropped back and went evenly late. MENDELLO saved ground, failed to respond and was not a threat. POLSTER was hustled along, set a pressured pace to the turn, tired and stopped.
