Chart notes
FORT SAM set the pace in the two path, then along the inside as an outer rival prompted approaching the turn, vied with that one around the bend, drew clear in upper stretch then held from an outer bidder late. MARKET STREET trailed in the five to four path into the turn, swung back to the five path entering the lane, rallied while hanging on his left lead to bid outside of the leader in the final furlong, but his rider stood up momentarily leaving the sixteenth pole, sustained his challenge after coming back under a drive but missed at the wire. LEGALIZE veered outwardly and bobbled at the start, prompted three to two wide, vied outside of the eventual winner around the turn but yielded in upper stretch then held show. DEER DISTRICT prompted along the inside before backing off to stalk leaving the nine sixteenths pole, chased in the two path around the turn and lacked a bid. KAVOD broke a step slow, pursued under hard urging in the four to three path into the turn, then faded in the four path and between horses in upper stretch.
