Chart notes
BAEZA was reserved early and made a steady advance down the backstretch, rallied four wide at the quarter pole, hit the front leaving the three sixteenths and quickly clear by the furlong marker and remained clear to the wire under mild urging to prove best. MAGNITUDE chased the early pace from between rivals on the first turn, then tracked the leaders towards the inside on the far turn and moved out to be two wide off the bend, ran on well in the final sixteenth to be clearly second best. GOAL ORIENTED prompted the pace from the outside and made a three wide bid to shake clear by the quarter pole but gave no resistance to the winner leaving the three sixteenths, faded in the final furlong while staying on for the show award. SO SANDY was away alertly, moved out to be in the three path by the wire the first time, then moved in to the inside entering the first turn to set a pressured pace along the rail, relented the lead leaving the five sixteenths and weakened while keeping on for the final spot in the superfecta. BIG TRUZZ chased the pace in between rivals throughout and came three wide into the lane but faded. GOSGER stumbled at the break and was five wide into the first turn, chased the pace from the outside four wide on the first turn, continued on the outside three wide on the far turn and weakened. MO PLEX was settled early and five wide into the first turn, moved in to be four to three wide and lacked a rally. HAPPILY DELUSIONAL was taken back and moved to the inside, moved out to be two to three wide on the far turn but lacked a rally. DAVID OF ATHENS pressed the pace in between rivals but tired nearing the quarter pole. ALTOBELLI chased the pace on the inside and wilted after a half a mile.
