Chart notes
HARD TO FATHOM saved ground off the pace into the far turn, angled off the rail into the lane, forged clear in upper stretch, running on the wrong lead drifted out through the final stages, held safe under strong handling. BOURBON LIFE well back of the pace into the far turn, roused on four deep through the lane, rallied late up for the place. TOWERING STORM way back off the rail into the far turn, worked through traffic upper, found a clear lane in the three path, gaining ground steadied off heels in deep stretch, finished willingly to the wire. EVEN THE WIND settled well back into the far turn, upped the tempo four then five deep, improved placing through the final stages. RIVER REDEMPTION saved ground off the pace into the far turn, worked off the rail through the lane, had no late punch. MAHONEY ROAD chased around the first turn, quickened the tempo sprinted away from the field into the far turn, faded through the stretch. AMERICAN CAUSE raced off the pace and off the rail, never factored late. ALL CHOKED UP broke sharp, pressured pace leaving first turn, roused on sprinted away with MAHONEY ROAD glued to outside flank, retreated through the lane. ST. LOUIE LOUIE saved ground off the pace, as the stampeded of closer came rushing by nearing the three eights post, herded along the rail, faltered through the stretch. THERE WAS A JOCKEY'S OBJECTION IN THIS RACE, THE RIDER OF TOWERING STORM CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF HARD TO FATHOM FOR INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH, AFTER THE JUDGE'S REVIEW, HARD TO FATHOM WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACE THIRD.
