Chart notes
GRAND PRAIRIE GAL was forwardly placed around the first turn, vied three deep up the backstretch, could not move on with XCARET mid-way around the far turn and flattened off of rival in the upper stretch, never gave up, ran on determinedly and reeled in weakening leader late. XCARET dueled for the lead with MY MAYBELENNE around the first turn, took on the added challenge of GRAND PRAIRIE GAL in the earl]y backstretch, shook free near the mid-way point around the far turn, saved ground turning for home, widened to a clear advantage, then yielded late and got reeled in by the winner. MY MAYBELENNE vied with XCARET around the first turn, continued to duel inside of a duo up the backstretch then weakened off the top pair upon entering the far turn, angled out, launched a four wide rebid entering the head of the lane, sustained a steady bid and prevailed for a share. MY FINE AQUILINE raced off the top flight mid-way up the backstretch, saved ground around the far turn, ran on just off the inside and sustained a mild bid. C'S LILLY DANCER rated off the early pace, hustled along two to three wide around the far turn, continued in the two path into the lane and lacked the needed response for impact. MARINA'S GOLD raced off the pace, swung three wide into the upper stretch and lacked a needed rally. ESPRIT ROUGE raced in the back, saved ground around the far turn and had no response.
