Chart notes
DRILL'S LI'L MAN prompted the early pace, vied around the turn, cleared command at the head of the lane, angled to the inside, tapped a few times past the furlong marker, widened advantage and was ridden out late. CIRCLE BACK JACK was allowed to settle off the early pace, given cue four wide at the head of the lane, responded and produced a solid finish. MEDICINE TAIL was forwardly placed soon after the start and tracked the leader up the backstretch, chased three wide around the turn, sustained a steady bid through the lane and cleared show. CALL ME ICE MAN tracked the top trio through early stages, hustled along four wide at the head of the lane and failed to move on. MYSTERY MAN sped to the lead at the start, led the way by a slim margin in the opening quarter, vied with eventual winner around the turn then gave way in the lane. SPIRIT'S MISCHIEF dropped far back after the start, trailed well behind the rest of the field, made up some ground late but was never in contention.
