Chart notes
CASTLE GAP stalked the pace from three wide then moved up around the turn and drove past the leaders near the eighth pole to draw clear. FLAME ROCK FIRE pressed the pace from two wide to the top of the stretch then moved to engage the leader near the three sixteenths pole but was outkicked by the late closer. UNSHAKEABLE PROOF went to a clear lead to the top of the stretch but was eclipse near the eighth pole and weakened. STANIEL CAY was forwardly placed from two wide to the top then made a mild inside bid but lacked the late response. DOC HENRY RIDGE raced near the back then made a mild bid going between horses near the five sixteenths pole but failed to sustain that bid and improved position. ATLANTIC STORM raced in the middle of the pack then made a mild bid on the turn and flattened out. AWESOME WILLIAM raced in the middle of the pack and failed to menace. LOUISIANA BARGAIN raced near the back and was not a threat. TITO raced in the middle of the pack and never made a serious bid. JOHN LOUIS' BEVO was always back and not a factor. PERFECTO was reluctant to load, raced close up early while saving ground to the turn and retreated. RUM CENTER was fractious in the gate then lost contact early and was outrun.
