Chart notes
MACKENZIE'S NOVVA unhurried to trail to the far turn, commenced a steady advance midway on the turn narrowing the gap while circling the field and found his best stride late to surge near the wire and be up in the final stride. I'M NO ANGEL was well placed along the fence in striking distance of the leaders throughout, waited on the final bend for racing room, angled four wide turning for home, rallied to the lead in mid-stretch and was nailed by the winner on the wire. RUNAWAY HARRY set the pace on a clear early lead while well rated, came under steady pressure down the backside, dueled on the lead through the turn, continued to battle to midway down the lane and couldn't last in the final furlong. WASHINGTON'S UNION tracked the leaders from three wide to the top of the lane and lacked a closing kick. PEMAQUID PETE pulled down the backstretch to move up to press the pace, rallied on the far turn to loom at the quarter pole and weakened in upper stretch.
