Chart notes
ARTEMPUS set a well measured pace under mild pressure to the far turn, kicked away on the bend, widened in upper stretch and was kept to task inside the eighth pole while unthreatened. MOHTAFIL reserved off the pace to race near the rear of the field, steadily gained ghround to the top ofthe lane and finished willingly as second best. TRAVELLER tracked the leaders to the far turn, lost position on the bend and rallied mildly in the lane without gaining on the top pair. HINENI was slow early to be at the rear and showed some late interest in the lane to just miss the show. MORNING MARCH stalked the pace for three-quarters and lacked a response when called upon. THIRD CITY prompted the pace to the far turn and weakened coming home. EXPRESS STAR was not a factor.
