Chart notes
HAMLIN stalked the pace while two wide on the backstretch, rallied on the far turn to take command, was in a strong drive and drew off in mid stretch and held sway in the end. PACIFIC was allowed to settled while inside on the backstretch, rallied and moved out to be three wide in upper stretch, was gaining ground and was second best in the end. NOBLE REIGN was allowed to settled in the early going, saved ground into the far turn then made a bid while moving out to be three wide at the top of the stretch, was making up ground willingly while four wide in late stretch but was no menace. DENIZEN was allowed to settled then rallied and was five wide in upper stretch then finished well. HEATS HERO was stalking the pace while inside on the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn making a bid then flattened out. BERNARDO was unruly behind the gate then broke out at the start, was settled and saved ground into the far turn but came up empty in the drive. MAJOR ORTIZ set the early pace while racing off the rail, was used up then stopped. FOLLOW THE STAR was unhurried early then stopped to a walk in the stretch.
