POKER ALICE stalked the leader early then was boxed briefly behind that one into the second turn, eased out for room on the backstretch the second time then rallied when clear, took over and held under steady urging. DIAMOND DEE trailed for a half mile, rallied three wide leaving the quarter pole and made a steady run for the place. HERE'S THE THING set the pace for a half mile, got collared by the winner then was outkicked late for second. LUCY L took up when crowded by CONFIDENCE BUILDER early, settled for a half, saved ground to the stretch but did not make an impact in the drive. CONFIDENCE BUILDER pressed the pace for a half mile, got outkicked nearing the quarter pole and tired. BLOWING BAYOU had no speed and was never a threat.
