Chart notes
VENIK unhurried to be the trailer in the compact group, circled seven wide turning for home and closed well on the outside to be up in the final sixteenth while gearing down at the wire under confident handling. THUNDER CANE was well placed just off the leaders while well in hand early to be off the pacesetter's heels, continued to save ground, tipped out three wwide for the drive with a steady bid and was outkicked by the winner in a good effort. CAMILO tracked the leaders from four wide through the turn, rallied six wide at the head of the lane, drifted in slightly in upper stretch and finished willingly while unable to hold off the top pair. VALIANT EXCHANGE sped to a clear lead down the backside, widened the advantage to midway down the lane and weakened in the final furlong. J R JONE Z reserved off the pace to near the quarter pole, rallied five wide attempting to split rivals in upper stretch, was steadied when the hole was narrowed and finished evenly unable to recover in time. KUNOOZ stalked from three wide to midway on the turn rallying briefly approaching the quarter pole and flattened out in the lane.
