Chart notes
BLOSSOMING rushed up after an awkward start and a bump from the outside foe to take the lead going into the first turn, led the way through decent fractions to the half-mile pole, then opened up the margin through the far turn, and held sway under steady handling and intermittent urging. LUCKY SHORE hustled out of the gate but was outsprinted to the first turn, settled in mid-pack along the rail, got a clean trip into the stretch, and chased the winner to the wire, unable to close the gap in the latter stages. YEHAWMEMAW was not asked for speed from the break, settled well behind the field through the early running, swung four to five wide at the top of the stretch, and finished up well to gain third. KICK OUT THE JAMS settled at the back of the main pack through the early stages, was left with a lot to do at the top of the lane, but put in a good rally, was steadily gaining, but ran out of time. KING'S LEGACY settled two to three wide in the middle of the pack, launched a bid from the five-sixteenths marker, was making up good ground in upper stretch, but flattened out last sixteenth. WOODS HOLE got a good position early, just behind the lone pacesetter, made an early try at that one near the halfway point, then could not kick on with that rival through the turn and weakened. HALCYON DAYS bumped with the inside rival at the start, was last into the first turn, trailed the field to the stretch, then oufinished a couple of tired rivals in the late stages. COUNCILWOMAN JILLY broke out and made light contact with BLOSSOMING at the start, chased three-wide in the second flight to the far turn, then weakened. OUR PRAYER was unhurried from the start, raced far behind the field and was never a factor. PER RULING ECM2025-333 FROM THE HORSERACING INTEGRITY AND WELFARE UNIT, WOODS HOLE IS DISQUALIFIED FROM SIXTH TO UNPLACED DUE TO A MEDICATION VIOLATION.
