Chart notes
MASTER OF ARMS disputed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, led into the stretch, responded well while battling outside of the runner-up in the drive and prevailed under strong urging. FORGIVING SPIRIT contested the pace on the inside of the winner, vied in the two path on the turn, fought on well in the stretch but missed while well clear for the place. FITZPATRICK was urged along towards the front, chased in the two path for most of the turn then moved to the three path, was driven into the stretch in the four path, pursued the top two into the final furlong and weakened but earned the show. RABBIT HOUND tracked the pace, was asked in the four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. MANTA REY broke a half-step slow, was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and was no factor. HONORARY DEGREE was away awkwardly but with the body of the field, raced on the outside while urged along, dropped from the six path to the five path on the turn, floated into the seven path entering the stretch and had nothing left. GUN MAESTRO tossed his head briefly outside the five-eighths pole, was coaxed along off the pace, dropped back in the five then four path on the turn and faltered.
