Chart notes
SINE QUA NON saved ground off of a contested early pace, steadied when looking for a seam near the five sixteenths, regrouped and angled out, split runners in upper stretch, leveled off after being guided further out and switching to his correct lead, was given a few firm asks, rolled past inner rivals to take command in deep stretch then eagerly drew out with plenty left. FRONT END broke outward then steadied, corrected and was rushed up to contention, tracked the embattled leaders around the turn, bid between foes near mid stretch, gained a slim lead inside rivals with a sixteenth to go, was no match for the winner but kept on gamely to be second best. SHAKE UP vied outside a rival, took a short lead while in the three path in upper stretch, battled between runners leaving the furlong grounds then gave way grudgingly. JOE THE TAILOR stalked inside, angled out mid turn, ranged up five wide to threaten in mid stretch, fought on past the sixteenth pole then hung late. MARTINI MAN dueled inside on a short lead, ceded command in upper stretch, failed to kick on with rivals leaving mid stretch and weakened. DEFENDING ALBERT lagged off the pace, angled out in upper stretch and failed to menace. RED RIZZLER , brushed at the break, lost ground four wide and came up empty. BALADINE settled off the early pace, saved ground nearing the lane but failed to muster up a rally. DR. PERRY , between runners into the turn, made a slight four wide advance into the stretch but failed to sustain. HOBBS , urged along off the rail, failed to get involved. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
